What is Mediation?
Mediation is the conflict resolution process of negotiated settlement.
It utilizes a mediator (neutral third party), to facilitate communication and negotiation between parties in conflict.
It is a voluntary process, which means you participate at will, and suspend or terminate the process if you wish.
It is also a confidential process, which suggests that parties may feel free to discuss their individual perspectives, desires, and interests without having to fear that those communications will be used against them later in court.
The Cost of Mediation
Mediation can accomplish the same or markedly better results for approximately 1/10th the cost of a traditional legal remedy.
A traditional remedy usually employs the services of two or more attorneys and their respective staff, none of whom may have an interest in preserving either your resources or your relationships.
Mediation helps preserve both, and addresses the future in the process.
